MARE MANAGEMENT

Comfort and Saftey for Your Mare

Our new 52 stall mare facility and 6 spacious and open foaling stalls have been constructed with the needs of your mare and foal in mind, as their safety, comfort, and well being, while in our care at West Kentucky’s Legacy Breeding Farm is our primary concern. We offer a State of the Art Laboratory with all the necessary equipment needed to make sure your mare and foal have a healthy and safe foaling stay. All foaling mares are monitored through the Foal Alert System; in addition our staff has housing at the facility enabling them to be available for any emergency. We strive to give the best care available to your mares and foals.

Mare Care

* Outside Mare Care $17.00/day
* Inside Mare Care $23.00/day
* Show Mare Care $27.00/day to include daily grooming, exercise, and/or turn out.
* Foaling Fee $350.00 and to include all first worming, vaccinations and Foal Alert System.

Year Round Mare Care

* Outside Mare Care $11.50/day
* Inside Mare Care $17.50/day
* Weanlings off mares $10.00/day
* Show Yearlings $650.00/month to be fitted and handled for showing purposes.

Delivery or Pickup of Mare:

Please call anytime Monday through Saturday for delivery or pickup of your mare /and or foal. We would appreciate a 24 hr. notice of delivery or pickup as this will allow us time to make all necessary arrangements and have all paper work ready for your arrival.

All vet and farrier services will be charged to mare owner for mare and foal.
